George Price Centre for Peace and Development |
| Description: |
The George Price Centre for Peace and Development was established in honour of the Rt. Hon. George Price and his lifelong devotion to the peaceful construction and development of Belize and its people. The aim of the Centre is to inspire Belizeans and individuals worldwide, regardless of race, colour, creed or political persuasion, to learn more about and carry on this endeavour.
We invite you to browse through our web site, to learn about our National Hero, the Rt. Hon. George Price as well as the work of the Centre. Read about our library, the facilities and activities we offer and find out how you can support the Centre.
The Friends of the George Price Centre Programme has been established to support the activities of the Centre. In 2004, we meticulously catalogued the personal collection of documents amassed by Mr. Price during his years of service to the country and prepared this information for use in the library. We also facilitated many meetings, discussions, workshops, exhibits and cultural activities which were attended by thousands of students, teachers and other visitors.
The work plan for 2005 envisages many more such activities. We do however need your support to continue developing the Centre into a true venue of inspiration to the continued development of Belize. You can help us by joining the Friends of the George Price Centre Programme. The minimum contribution to this programme is BZD25.00 per year. With your donation you will receive free admission to the library, exhibits, movie nights and selected events as well as special discounts to other activities at the Centre. |
